In order to maintain the sanitary sewer collection system and continue to provide high quality wastewater service to the customers of Fort Bend County Municipal Utility District No. 81 (District), the District has authorized a maintenance project to clean and televise a portion of the District’s sanitary sewer pipes in accordance with the MUD 81 Capital Improvement Program. The project is to be completed by Kleen Environmental, LLC (Kleen) and includes cleaning and televising approximately 33,000 linear feet of sanitary sewer collection lines ranging from 8-inch in diameter to 15-inch in diameter. The project also includes the inspection of 178 sanitary sewer manholes. Kleen will access the sanitary sewer via the sanitary sewer manholes located predominately in the front of lots in the following sections:

  • Weston Lakes Sections 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 18, & 19
  • Fairway Villas
  • Bradford on the Bend Section 1

The videos will be reviewed by the District Engineer to determine the condition of the system and identify any maintenance issues. If any issues are identified, the District plans to rehabilitate the pipes and manholes as part of the Capital Improvement Program. Kleen will begin the project in early June 2024 and will provide notification to all affected residents of the District including placing door hangers a minimum of 48 hours and not more than 72 hours before work is to commence in the affected area. The door hanger will provide schedule and contact information plus instructions for actions needed to be performed by residents in preparation for the cleaning and televising work. The project is expected to be completed by the end of August 2024.
