DON'T BE WATERLESS !
WATER LESS, BUT WATER SMART. |
| |
|
FBMUD 81 requires a lot of
energy to purify and distribute water to residents. Saving water,
especially hot water, can save you money
and can also reduce greenhouse gas
emissions. Typical ways to save are: |
| |
|
1. Don’t let the water run
while brushing your teeth or shaving.
2. Don’t use your commode for a wastebasket for toiletry items.
3. Repair all leaky faucets and commodes immediately. One leak can
waste 200 gallons of water per day.
4. Limit flowerbed watering to once every 7 days.
5. Reduce lawn sprinkling during rainy periods.
6. Install water-saving showerheads. |
